“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” – Jesus, Luke 19:10
Many years ago when I was struggling with gender identity/confusion, depression, despair, hopelessness, rejection, suicide and anger…
It felt like I was bleeding out inside, like a bomb had gone off inside leaving me in pieces.
The pain and torment was unbearable.
I remember the moment a spirit of murder entered my being and an overwhelming desire came over me to take someone’s life.
I chose not too and resisted the feeling to do so.
It was tempting to because maybe murder or vengeance would alleviate any or some of the torment, pain, anger, and tension that I was feeling inside.
No matter what I did or tried, nothing took away the pain.
Murder would not have worked either, if I would have tried.
It would have made things much worse for me.
I would have ended up in jail.
Or, if I would have lost my own life in the process of taking other people’s lives, I could have ended up in hell outside of Jesus Christ.
Hell will be more tormenting than any hell on earth or torment of the soul and the torment in hell will never end.
Jesus Christ is the only answer.
Jesus Christ is the only way.
Jesus Christ is the only remedy.
Jesus Christ is the One Who saved me.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.“ – John 3:16-17
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” – Jesus, John 14:6
Jesus restored my soul.
“He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” – Psalms 23:3
Jesus delivered me from demons that were inside me, tormenting me.
“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.” – Matthew 8:16
I found who I was in Jesus not in a different sexual identity.
I found the love and acceptance I was looking for in Jesus.
I found healing and freedom in Jesus and through forgiving those who hurt or rejected me.
Audrey E. Hale was lost.
More than likely now lost for eternity.
Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost.
Our fight is not with flesh and blood.
Our fight is not with Audrey or others like her but with the demons that had her bound, blind, lying to and tormenting her soul.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” – Ephesians 6:12
Murder is never the answer.
Be careful not to respond out of the same spirit of anger/murder in response to current events.
“You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.” – Jesus, Matthew 5:21-22
Love and pray for your enemies.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” – Matthew 5:43-48
Families who have lost someone during the Nashville school shooting I am praying for you.
I like what Prophet Charlie Shamp tweeted, “Pray for the families of these Christian martyrs who died for their faith in Jesus Christ. Among those killed was a pastor’s daughter. They now wear the martyrs crown before the throne of our Lord Jesus Christ. James 1:12 and Revelation 2:10.”
Also praying for Nashville, our country, and for justice and righteousness to rule and reign over our land.
